Central Bank presents financial literacy certificates to DOST Agency volunteers

7 November 2019, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been providing extended trainings for volunteers of the Sustainable and Operative Social Security (DOST) Agency since current October as part of financial literacy.

 

The DOST Agency volunteers were educated on 8 topics at 4 sessions at an initial phase of financial literacy trainings – ‘Central Bank’s functions’, ‘Promotion of cashless payments’, ‘Consumer budget’, ‘Personal funds management’, ‘Banking services - guarantee’, ‘Responsible lending’ and ‘Security elements of monetary units’. At the same time the participants were informed on e-resources of the Central Bank – the Financial Literacy portal (bizimpullar.az), virtual education platform (edu.e-cbar.az) and storage and retrieval system for financial products and services (infobank.az).

 

The trainings were completed with a Q&A session and distinguished DOST Agency volunteers received certificates at the Central Bank.    

 

The Bank is planning to provide financial literacy trainings for the DOST Agency staff at next phases to include additional topics like the balance of payments, inflation, the monetary policy, economic growth, modern banking products etc.

 

In general, the Central Bank will continue its financial literacy activities on various target groups on a regular basis.
