Central Bank develops ‘E-wallet’ awareness animation

15 November 2019, Baku: The CBA continues events on implementation of the ‘Increase of knowledge and skills of financial market participants’ target prioritized in the ‘Strategic Roadmap on Development of Financial Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan’ approved by Decree of 6 December 2016 of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Bank uses various products and resources, as well as intellectual facilities for financial and economic literacy of various target groups as financial service consumers. The scope of related literacy efforts is regularly expanded and enriched.

The Central Bank launched and regularly updates the financial literacy portal (www.bizimpullar.az) to make awareness efforts effective. The Bank cooperates with leading organizations and international institutions. Resources related to the economy and finance placed on the portal allow familiarizing oneself with informative materials on economy and finance, explanatory animations on banking services and central banking, a virtual museum and a section for pupils, as well as using games with economic content and calculators.

As part of cooperation with the country office of the International Finance Corporation the Central Bank launched an ‘E-wallet’ animation, which explains advantages of using the wallet on the basis of examples and promotes various groups of the population to use the resource.

To note, the main goal of the resource is to support expansion of e-payments, inform the population where the e-wallet can be used and increase their skills on use of similar products. In general, related resources are critical in terms of supplying intellectual support to allow the population to make rational decisions.
