Central Bank holds next training for media representatives

28 November 2019, Baku: The Central Bank has always focused on strengthening professional cooperation with media institutions as a significant target group of its communication, enhancing journalists' knowledge in economic and financial areas, including central banking. To that end, the Central Bank continuously organizes “Open door” events, trainings on “Central banking” and “Improving knowledge and skills on the financial and banking system” for media representatives.
As a follow-up to this process, the Bank held the next training for media representatives on 29 November 2019 with a view to further contribute to implementation of the priorities titled “Enhancing financial literacy” and “Enhancing public awareness on digital payments” of the “State Program on expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2018-2020”.
The attendees were informed on the key components of the “State Program on expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2018-2020” and the actions taken by the Central Bank within the Program. The training also had a special focus on the latest e-payment trends: biometric protection, tokenization, etc.
The media representatives were also briefed on the current state and prospects of the Central Bank's blockchain project, as well as the Information Retrieval System initiated by the Central Bank, and its options and benefits. Trainers answered all questions addressed by the training participants in detail during the training.
