Central Bank holds discussions within the frames of III International Banking Forum

5 November 2018, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) met within the preparation for the III International Banking Forum titled ‘Cashless economy: transformation from traditional banking towards digital banking’ to be held on 15 – 16 November.
The meeting participants gave considerations to organizational issues related to the preparation for the forum, reviewed the topics for panel discussions, and scrutinized the performance plan developed to make the forum successful.
To note, the panel discussions will include the topics on a number of actions specified in the State Program on Expansion of Digital Payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan approved by Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 September 2018. The CBA will deliver presentations on ‘The State Program – strategic targets, upcoming objectives’, ‘Blockchain based digital identification system’, ‘Instant payments system’ and other burning topics.
The third International Banking Forum to be held this year will host representatives from about 100 international organizations and reputable companies from the USA, Japan, Europe, China and the CIS countries. At the same time, foreign and local speakers will deliver presentations around about thirty topics related to transformation to digital banking and cashless economy to be followed by extended opinion and experience sharing.
