Central Bank starts next ‘Pay with card, earn with card’ lottery to stimulate cashless payments

30 October 2020, Baku: The Central Bank is starting next countrywide promo ‘Pay with card, earn with card’ lottery covering a wide range of the population from 1 November onward to increase public interest in cashless payments, shape digital payment skills and increase cashless turnover in the economy as part of the measures implemented on the ‘State Program on expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018-2020’ approved by Decree#508 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 September 2018.

Over the period of the promo lottery to be held in November cardholders conducting minimum AZN5 (five) worth cashless payments with all types of payment cards issued in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan in POS-terminals of economic agents across the country automatically get the right to participate in the lottery. All types of cards, including pension, salary and student cards will participate in the lottery. A total of 900 people across the country are expected to win the lottery.
