Central Bank continues financial literacy events

2 November 2020, Baku: The Central Bank continues financial literacy events at secondary special and higher educational institutions with respect to the implementation of the ‘Increasing knowledge and skills of financial market participants’ target of the ‘Strategic Roadmap on development of financial services in the Republic of Azerbaijan’ and the ‘State Program on expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2018-2020’.

 

As a continuation of these events, on October 22-29, 2020, trainings on “Advantages of Digital Payments” and “Insurance” were held for students and teachers of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Theological Institute and Baku College of Food Industry. A total of 55 teachers and more than 250 students participated in the trainings.

 

At the trainings held by the Central Bank staff advantages of non-cash payments during the pandemic, payment cards and card transactions, payment card fraud, national payment systems, instant payment system, e-banking, insurance, types of insurance, insurance contract, insurance certificate, insurance premium, insurance were discussed,  the topics were explained with case studies and the questions of the participants were answered.

 

Emphasizing the importance of educating the population in finance, increasing the knowledge and skills of employees of various organizations and institutions in finance, the Central Bank will continue to implement related measures in future.
