Central Bank holding awareness webinars for public unions together with banks

5 November 2020, Baku: The Central Bank is holding digital payments related awareness webinars on the job places, at NGOs and public unions to raise awareness and promotion of digital payments in accordance with the ‘State Program on expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2018-2020’ approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 September 2018. The said State Program provides for holding these events jointly with banks with the involvement of bank specialists.

The webinars were held for the staff of the ‘Regional Development’ and the ‘Junior Achievement Azerbaijan’ Public Unions as part of the Financial Literacy Month on 3-4 November. The employees of the ‘Expressbank’ OJSC detailed the participants on ‘Payment card operations’ and ‘Money transfers’, held discussions on the topic and answered their questions.

At the initiative of the Central Bank, it is planned to organize events on digital payments for employees of public unions and NGOs, as well as increase the financial knowledge and skills of the staff of various public and private organizations, business structures in future.
