Central Bank holds trainings for students

27 December 2018, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a number of awareness trainings for students, one of the key target groups, in the second half of the year with respect to the implementation of the ‘Increasing knowledge and skills of financial market participants’ target of the ‘Strategic Roadmap on Development of Financial Services’.
Over this period a group of internship students at the Central Bank participated in contest-trainings titled ‘Financial literacy: a way to professional career’, who were educated on consumer budget management, cashless payments, deposit insurance, grounds for insurance activity, organization of lending and banking operations by the employees of the Central Bank, representatives from the Deposit Insurance Fund, banks and insurance organizations.
At the same time, at the initiative of 80 students of the ‘Economics’ club of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and the Baku Engineering University the Bank held a training titled ‘Financial Literacy for Youth’ covering banking operations, organization of lending and cashless payments. Taking into consideration numerous appeals, the Central Bank organized trainings titled ‘Financial literacy of professionals’ for a group of distinguished students and young teachers of these universities on anti-counterfeiting, deposit insurance, digital financial tools, the participants were and informed on the Financial literacy portal, (bizimpullar.az) and the Virtual education platform (edu.e-cbar.az) and the Azerbaijan Credit Bureau; the training was followed by a Q&A session and participants were awarded with certificates.
To note, the Central Bank will continue trainings of the kind for students as part of the implementation of the said Strategic Roadmap and various events oriented towards raising financial knowledge and skills of the population.
