One-time insurance payments are provided to military men who were martyred and suffered various injuries

14 December 2020, Baku: To promptly provide one-time insurance payments to our military men martyred and wounded in the 44-day Patriotic War in which our armed forces fought heroically and won a historic victory for the liberation of our lands, as well as during the First Karabakh War, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan established a working group consisting of senior officials.
The Working Group, together with relevant public authorities, including the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population take concerted efforts to promptly make insurance payments to military men or their heirs and prepare necessary supporting documents for this purpose as soon as possible.
The Working Group immediately held a videoconference meeting with the Working Group on Social Affairs of Martyrs, Disabled War Veterans and Participants functioning in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, held mutual discussions on solution of the problems of military men that fall under this category and established a joint actions plan. At the same time, the Working Group included representatives from the Central Bank and the State Insurance Commercial Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azersigorta).
To note, according to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Compulsory Personal Insurance of Military Servicemen, in case of death (martyrdom), disability and injury, insurance payments are made by Azersigorta.
The Working Group has taken under management and control the issues on immediate consideration of applications on obtaining relevant insurance payments in the HQs or regional branches of Azersigorta and making payments as soon as possible. The company's employees visit the families of martyrs and provide them with all necessary assistance and legal support to facilitate the payment process.
