Nine employees of Central Bank took part in Patriotic War and contributed to historic victory

8 January 2021, Baku: The employees of the Central Bank, who took part in the Patriotic War, returned to work, honorably fulfilling their duties before the motherland. The staff greeted them with great enthusiasm.

Elman Rustamov, Governor of the Central Bank met with the employees who fought in the Patriotic War. He noted that under the great command and leadership of Triumphant Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army won a great victory, which is forever engraved in the world military history. Armenian occupiers were destroyed, our native lands were liberated over 44 days. As a great heroic chronicle of our national history, this great victory gave our people the joy of living in the whole Azerbaijan.

E.Rustamov said may all our heroes who were killed in the battles for the territorial integrity of our country rest in peace, and that they would live forever in the hearts of our people.

14 employees of the Central Bank were involved in the army in connection with their participation in the Patriotic War. Five of them were released to the reserve after participating in trainings, and nine of them, including three officers, took part in the Second Karabakh War and took part in military operations on the frontline. One of the many advantages of our great victory over the enemy was the high technical and intellectual training of our army. The specialties of our employees who took part in the war in the areas of technological activity show this once again.

A group of our employees was awarded with the medals ‘Brave Warrior’, ‘For the Liberation of Jabrayil’, ‘For the Liberation of Gubadli’ by the relevant Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as honorary diplomas for high results in combat training, discipline and military service. We are proud of all the heroic sons of our homeland, who in their example fought a glorious battle for and contributed t our historic victory. The Governor expressed his gratitude and best wishes to them, and said that all our people, including the staff of the Central Bank, are proud of them.

As always mentioned in speeches by the President Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, our martyrs' families, wounded soldiers, as well as all war veterans will always receive attention and care.
