Commemorative coin design competition continues

18 February 2021, Baku: The commemorative coin design competition announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 29.01.2021 to commemorate the Patriotic War fought by our brave army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the liberation of our ancient lands Karabakh, immortalize the memory of the heroes of the Patriotic War and convey to the international community the history and cultural heritage of our cities and regions liberated from the clutches of the enemy, as well as glorify our relations with the brotherly Republic of Turkey, which has always stood by Azerbaijan in this war, continues.
As we have mentioned, the competition covers the following topics:
- Commemorative coin dedicated to the motif ‘Heroic soldier of the Patriotic War’;
- Commemorative coin dedicated to ‘Shusha - the cradle of culture and music of Azerbaijan’;
- Commemorative coin dedicated to the motif ‘Architectural pearl of Azerbaijan - Khudafarin bridge’;
- Commemorative coin dedicated to the motif ‘National leader Heydar Aliyev – a chronicle of brotherhood ‘One nation, two states’;
- Commemorative coins on the history and cultural heritage of our territories liberated from the enemy:
- Jabrail district
- Fuzuli district
- Zangilan district
- Gubadly district
- Agdam district
- Kalbajar district
- Lachin district
- Khojavend district
- Sugovushan village
We would like to remind you that the competition will be completed at 18:00 on 22.02.2021. Design sketches can be submitted in electronic format (to Khanim_Dostuzada@cbar.az) or on paper to the head office of the Central Bank, located at 90, Rashid Behbudov Street, Baku. Submitted proposals will be evaluated by the Jury, that includes a number of well-known figures of science, culture and art, closely involved in the cultural, social and public life of our country.
The prize to be awarded to the winner of the competition on commemorative coins is AZN 1000 per motif.
In this regard, we once again invite our citizens to take an active part in the competition.
