Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan received at Central Bank

19 March 2021, Baku: Elman Rustamov, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan received Bilal Hayee, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, it was noted that the strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries is developing steadily, and importance and significance of expanding economic ties, especially between the financial and banking sectors was once again highlighted.

Governor of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov briefed the ambassador on the economic reforms carried out in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as extensive projects implemented for stable and sustainable operation and development of the Azerbaijani financial sector.

In his turn, the Ambassador Bilal Hayee expressed satisfaction with the level of relations between the two countries, noting the importance of further intensifying existing cooperation and ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and successfully continuing them in future. At the same time, he noted that further expansion of cooperation between the financial and banking sectors of the two countries will make a positive contribution to the economic development of our countries.
