Central Bank and Capital Markets Board of Turkey sign Memorandum of Understanding

23 April 2021, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan takes various actions to form an effective, transparent and modern capital market that provides ample capitalization opportunities for the economy and attaches importance to international cooperation to ensure effectiveness of these measures and their compliance with international practice.
In this regard, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Capital Markets Board of Turkey signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. The purpose of the MoU is to develop a necessary framework for development of regulatory cooperation in capital markets, exchange of experience, support for research and information sharing, taking into account the requirements of the national legislation of both countries.
The two institutions will exchange experience in development of capital markets, conduct joint research and training programs and provide consulting services under the MoU. At the same time, the parties will exchange information and views on economic and financial processes in both countries and capital market issues.
This Memorandum will serve to further strengthen cooperation in the financial sector, as in all areas of the two brotherly countries, and contribute to the development of capital markets and the financial sector of both countries as a whole.
