Coverage of digital solutions though AniPay mobile application of Instant Payment System expanded

03 June 2021, Baku: Efforts to expand infrastructure capacity of the Instant Payment System (IPS) developed by the Central Bank and commissioned on 1 October 2020 as part of the ‘State Program on expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan’ approved by Decree No 508 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 September 2018 continue.

 

As part of related efforts, IPS functionalities allow registering customers and their bank accounts remotely, deleting them, obtaining balance information and maintaining operations based upon ‘Open banking’ principles for the first time in the country.

 

Currently customers of the ‘Yapı Kredi Bank Azərbaycan’ CJSC, the ‘Unibank’ CB OJSC, the ‘AFB Bank’, the Azər-Türk Bank’ OJSC can benefit from the above functionalities on current and payment card accounts, and customers of the ‘Premium Bank’ OJSC, the ‘Günay Bank’ OJSC, the ‘Muğanbank’ OJSC, the ‘Naxçıvanbank’ OJSC, the ‘Bank Avrasiya’ OJSC, the ‘Bank Respublika’ OJSC, the ‘Turanbank’ OJSC and the Bank ‘BTB’ OJSC on current accounts. At the same time, customers can make 24/7/365 payments using ‘AniPay’ application (Android: http://bit.ly/3b78WQo and IOS: https://apple.co/3hXL17u).

 

To note, currently 19 banks, the State Treasury Agency of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the ‘Azerpost’ LLC have been integrated to the IPS platform. Efforts will continue to expand the coverage of the system, and increase the range of digital solutions for users.
