07 July 2021, Baku: The Central Bank suspended reception of citizens individually and collectively in light of the assignments of 16.03.2020 in the letter of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan to central and local executive authorities and public institutions to ensure organization of the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
To fight the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Central Bank did additional work for online reception of citizens in connection with temporary cancellation of on-site reception of citizens in administrative buildings of the Central Bank. Thus, citizens can participate in video reception via the Skype or WhatsApp from 10:00 to 11:00 on official working days without pre-registration by visiting the ‘Consumer rights’ section on the official website of the Central Bank. Citizens who failed to contact for any reason during the video reception over specified hours can call the Central Bank's ‘966’ hotline, send an official request online or in writing, or send a message to 055 966 19 66 WhatsApp.
In addition, since the beginning of the pandemic in our country, the Central Bank's ‘966’ hotline has provided uninterrupted answering of incoming calls on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00, and the Bank started online reception of citizens.
Also, banks, non-bank credit organizations and insurance companies operating in the country were required to indicate the ‘966’ hotline in their contracts with citizens to obtain information on questions and problems faced by consumers on financial services, as well as provide access to inquiries and complaints. At the same time, those organizations were instructed to place information boards about the ‘966’ hotline in their administrative buildings (branches, representative offices) in places that attract the attention of citizens.
