Next online training held for media representatives at Central Bank

15 December 2021, Baku:  The Central Bank always focuses on proper communication of information to the public on main challenges, goals and related work arising from the ‘Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development’, strengthening professional cooperation with media institutions as a means of transmission of the mission and one of the important target groups and increasing economic-financial knowledge of journalists.

 

For this purpose, the Central Bank traditionally organizes ‘Open Door’ events for media representatives, improving knowledge and skills on central banking, the financial and banking system, financial markets, etc.

 

As a follow-up of the process, as one of the actions specified in the objectives arising from the newly adopted ‘Communication Strategy of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2023’ the Bank conducted an online training titled ‘Digital solutions and security’ on 15 December 2021.

 

The training, conducted jointly with the MasterCard, will both increase related knowledge of journalists and help make their reports on digital solutions and security issues in financial services more effective, awareness raising in and promotion of cashless payments.

 

The participants were informed in detail about the latest global trends in digital payments, opportunities to use more up-to-date payment instruments due to new technological innovations, innovative solutions offered by MasterCard on digital payments.

 

In addition, discussions were held on the organization of more effective promo and advocacy campaigns to comply with security rules when using cards, increase efforts to raise awareness among the population.

 

The training was followed by the Q&A session and the awarding of certificates.
