H1, 2022 Financial Stability Review of the Central Bank published

17 October 2022, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues efforts to keep informed and educate target groups, including the society through communication channels and tools to formulate adequate economic expectations in line with its strategic communication mission. Thus, the Bank periodically makes public analytical and statistical reports, reviews and bulletins.

The Central Bank started to develop and publish the Financial Stability Review in 2021 as the next analytical policy document. The purpose of the review is to assess comprehensively factors that determine financial sector stability and sustainability and address policy measures by the Central Bank to safeguard financial stability. The paper analyzes the global economic condition and macroeconomic environment local financial institutions operate in, assesses the condition, risks and resilience of the banking system, as well as provides the analysis regarding non-bank credit institutions, the insurance system and capital markets. Analytical methods used in the analysis of financial stability in international practice were employed in the review. In general, the financial stability review contributes to strengthening of the financial stability infrastructure and financial stability in the country.

The Financial Stability Review is published periodically on the official website of the Central Bank in light of best practices.
