Information about public discussion of research papers

The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan is planning to hold an event called "Research Week" on 13-17 February this year. The event will be devoted to public discussion of research papers conducted at the Central Bank.

 

Empirical researches serving the monetary and financial stability policy are conducted every year at the Central Bank on a number of topical macroeconomic topics. Usually these research papers are discussed and improved inside the Central Bank, as well as with international institutions or foreign experts, and are presented to foreign journals and conferences. Many of them are published annually in the form of working papers on the official website of the Central Bank.

 

Starting from this year, the Central Bank begins to organize public discussions of conducted research papers. The main purpose of holding public discussions is to inform the public about research results, strengthen the tradition of research-based economic policy, public discussions and expert opinions, as well as to obtain opinions and suggestions for further research works. Professors and teaching staff engaged in teaching activities in the field of economics, scientific workers, students studying in higher education institutions, employees of state institutions responsible for economic policy who carries out analytical work, economic experts and journalists, and anyone with an interest in research can participate in these discussions.

 

Discussions will take place in Azerbaijani in a webinar format.
