Governor of Azerbaijan’s Central Bank Taleh Kazimov meets with winners of the second “Yukselish” competition

13 February 2023, Baku: As part of the mentoring program of the second “Yukselish” competition, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov held an online meeting with the winner Emil Mammadli residing in Austria and a personal meeting with the winner Farid Isayev.

Congratulating both participants for being among the winners of the second "Yukselish" competition, the Governor asked about their management experience and noted that the winners would be supported in enhancing their experience by engaging them in practical activities. As one of the project's managers, he said he would share his experience with the winners based on a one-year personal development plan and help them to realize their potential. He said that the Central Bank will create the necessary conditions for the winners to implement a high-level mentoring program.

The winners of the second “Yukselish” competition, in turn, thanked the Governor of the Central Bank for the opportunity provided within the mentoring program and warm reception, and said that they would like to benefit from his personal experience.

The “Yukselish” competition was established on 26 July 2019 by the Decree of the  President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan with higher education aged from 21 to 51 years with two years of managerial experience participate in the competition. The competition consists of 5 stages - registration, online selection, in-person selection, semifinal and final. The winners of the competition receive a one-year personal development plan and a self-development grant of 20,000 manat each from the executive officers (https://yukselish.az/mentors.html).

To note, on 20 December 2022, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a Decree on holding the third “Yukselish” competition.
