Financial and banking sector holds its first tree planting event marking 100th birth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev

15 March 2023, Baku: As part of implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Banks Association, the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, the Azerbaijan Stock Market Participants Association and Azerbaijan Fintech Association in honor of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the first tree planting event was held.

The first tree planting event was held in Mushfigabad settlement with the participation of the staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Central Bank, as well as financial sector associations.

During the event, about 300 Eldar pines and olive trees suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the Absheron Peninsula were planted on an area of 3 hectares.

To note, from this year a total of 1,000,000 trees (100,000 trees per year) will be planted for a period of 10 years.
