Macroeconomic Sustainability Working Group holds first meeting

13 September 2023, Baku: The Working Group on Macroeconomic Sustainability, established by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 487s of June 12, 2023, the chairmanship of which was entrusted to the Central Bank, held its first meeting at the headquarters of the Central Bank on September 13, 2023 in order to ensure the full, timely and effective implementation of the measures envisaged in the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026 and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state bodies.

At the meeting detailed information was provided on the results of monitoring and evaluation of 15 approved measures within the 3 directions of the objective "Resistance to internal and external influences" of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026 for the first half of 2023, detailed discussions were held with the members of the Working Group and the responsible employees of the Central Bank on further increasing the effectiveness of the implemented activities, and the next steps were determined.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of the Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the State Oil Fund, the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, the Deposit Insurance Fund and the Agricultural Insurance Fund.
