Central Bank publishes Credit Conditions Survey Results

29 November 2023, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced the results of banks’ credit activity survey for Quarter 3, 2023. The survey includes assessment of supply and demand factors for business, consumer and mortgage lending, as well as identification and assessment of banks’ risks.
According to the survey results, the easing of banks’ credit policies and the increase in loan demand continued in Q3 2023. The easing of credit standards was most evident in business loans to micro and small enterprises and in consumer credit cards. Banks indicated that they expect an increase in demand for business loans from MSMEs, as well as an increase in demand for credit cards. Changes in the credit policy are constantly monitored by the Central Bank and the appropriate prudential policy is determined.
