Central Bank holds next training session for media

6 December 2023, Baku: The Central Bank constantly keeps in the spotlight the issues of effectively informing the public about national development priorities, especially on the main challenges arising from the strategy for socio-economic development and the work done in this direction, strengthening professional cooperation with media institutions, raising the literacy of journalists in the field of macroeconomics and finance, as well as central banking.
Close cooperation with media institutions and work to improve their financial literacy are very important to ensure a clear understanding of monetary and financial stability policies by the general public, correct transmission of policy messages to the public, wide coverage of banking and financial activities in the mass media, a clear understanding by society of the economic reforms carried out in the country and, as a consequence, shaping the right economic expectations of the population.
The Central Bank organizes trainings and events for media representatives on various topics. Also, in this regard, Governor of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov regularly meets with journalists to discuss issues of their interest.
As part of this process, the Central Bank held another training session for media representatives on 5 December 2023. The training included presentations “The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Payment Services and Payment Systems” and “Yield curve”. The participants’ questions were answered in detail during the training.
Later, Governor of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov met with the participants of the training and held in-depth discussions on issues of interest to journalists.
