13 December 2023, Baku: The Central Bank focuses on regularly informing the public and investors regarding the measures taken to combat illegal activities and fraud in the capital market.

Recently, new cases of fraud have been attempted outside the country's borders. As a result of the investigations carried out on the basis of citizens' appeals to the Central Bank, it was revealed that unknown persons on social networks under the name of investment company "Maryam Invest" are trying to embezzle citizens' funds under the guise of investment services promising high returns. Fraudsters try to gain the trust of citizens on the basis of fake documents claiming that the mentioned company is licensed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and encourage them to invest in the foreign bank accounts provided by them.

The Central Bank urges the population to be cautious and not to be deceived by such offers of fraudsters.
