Azerbaijan’s Central Bank Governor Taleh Kazimov meets with winners of third “Yukselish” competition

18 January 2024, Baku: As part of the mentoring program of the third “Yukselish” competition, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov met with the winners Ibrahim Mammadzada and Farahim Hajiyev.

T. Kazimov congratulated them on becoming the third "Yukselish" competition winners and wished success in their future activities. Having heard the opinions of the winners about their expectations from the mentoring program, he noted that this program should serve to develop the existing potential of the winners and to increase their knowledge and skills in the direction they have chosen.

He said that he would work closely with the winners of the competition on the basis of individual development plans and would not spare his support for the high-level implementation of the mentoring program. The winners of the third “Yukselish” competition, in turn, thanked the Governor of the Central Bank for the opportunity provided within the mentoring program and warm reception, and expressed their desire to benefit from his personal experience.

The “Yukselish” competition was established on 26 July 2019 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan with higher education aged from 21 to 51 years with two years of managerial experience participate in the competition. The competition consists of 5 stages - registration, online selection, in-person selection, semifinal and final. The winners of the competition receive a one-year personal development plan and a self-development grant of 20,000 manat each from the executive officers (https://yukselish.az/mentors.html).

To note, on 25 December 2023, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a Decree on holding the fourth “Yukselish” competition.
