The next meeting of the working group on Financial Markets Development and Accessibility of Loans has been held

The next meeting of the Working Group on Financial Markets Development and Accessibility of Loans of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings has been held on 30.04.2024 at 11:00 through “Zoom” online platform.

During the meeting, a detailed information was presented on the progress made during the first quarter of 2024 according to the Action Plan and participants were informed about the forthcoming objectives. Additionally, a general overview was provided regarding the status of tasks implemented with regards to the Financial Services indicator of the World Bank's Business Ready report, followed by discussions on the outcomes of evaluations conducted among representatives from both the public and private sectors. Furthermore, participants exchanged views on the request submitted by entrepreneurs regarding access to loans under concessional terms. At the end of the meeting, it was decided to continue the implementation of measures related to the Financial services indicator of the World Bank's Business Ready report, including the continuation of raising awareness, as well as the possibility of improving the conditions for obtaining loans on preferential terms by business entities, with the participation of relevant state funds and bank representatives.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Cabinet of Ministers, Central Bank, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Ministry of Energy, Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Azerbaijan Banks Association, Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, Azerbaijan Insurers Association, Azerbaijan Stock Market Participants Association and the working group members of the private sector participants.
