The next meeting of the working group on Financial Markets Development and Accessibility of Loans has been held

The thematic meeting of the Working Group on Financial Markets Development and Accessibility of Loans of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings has been held on 14.06.2024 through online platform.

During the meeting, there was a discussion about the challenges faced by businesses in accessing loans under favorable terms. Participants exchanged views on current trends in business lending, the role of state funds in regional business financing, and the utilization of loan guarantee mechanisms to address collateral issues. New guarantee and subsidy mechanisms aimed at boosting lending in regions were also highlighted, along with efforts to simplify documentation requirements from state funds. The meeting underscored the need to enhance the ecosystem supporting business lending and to sustain efforts to improve business transparency.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Central Bank, Entrepreneurship Development Fund, Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, Agrarian Credit and Development Fund, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Azerbaijan Banks Association and private sector banks.
