Next meeting of the Working Group on Macroeconomic Sustainability held

09 September 2024, Baku:  The third meeting of the Working Group on Macroeconomic Sustainability, established by the relevant Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure full, timely and effective implementation of the activities provided for in the "Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026" and to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies, was held.

At the meeting of the Working Group chaired by the Central Bank, detailed information was presented on the results of monitoring and evaluation of the 15 approved activities within the 3 targets of the goal "Resilience to Internal and External Shocks" for the first half of 2024. Furthermore, in order to further increase the effectiveness of the implemented measures, the next steps were determined after extensive discussions with the members of the Working Group and the relevant staff of the Central Bank.

Rashad Orujov, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Working Group, informed about the initiatives implemented by the Central Bank within the framework of the Strategy.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the State Oil Fund, the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, the Deposit Insurance Fund and the Agricultural Insurance Fund.
