Effective Management and Macroeconomic Indicators Working Group holds next meeting

10 September 2024, Baku: The Working Group on Effective Management and Macroeconomic Indicators held its next meeting on 10 September 2024.

The meeting held over the Webex platform was joined by representatives from the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry, the SOFAZ, the State Statistics Committee, the Ministry of Ecology and National Resources, and the Ministry of Energy. They reviewed Working Group’s efforts in H1 2024 and exchanged views around the upcoming topics.  

Key areas of focus included maintaining budget transparency, enhancing debt sustainability, state regulation burdens, debt dynamics, monetary freedom, the Global Innovations Index, and the effective management of natural resources.

As a result of the interactive meeting, the attendees decided to further effectively manage future initiatives aiming to improve the country's position in international ratings, optimize state regulation burdens, and manage natural resources efficiently.

Meeting participants assessed the effectiveness of actions taken and established the steps to be taken. Working Group members engaged in productive discussions on sustaining the economic development of the country and came to a joint agreement on future plans.
