Central Bank signs MoU on Cooperation with ICIEC

25 September 2024, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC).

The Memorandum aims to establish a legal framework for cooperation between the institutions to promote the use of Islamic Insurance in the country.

The institutions are committed to exchanging experience on Islamic insurance, organizing trainings and workshops, as well as paying mutual visits as part of this MoU.

This cooperation will contribute to the broader use of new financial tools in the country thereby accelerating investment inflows.
