Activities of Central Bank’s regional offices optimized

Baku, 31 October 2024: According to the decision of the Management Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the activities of the Ganja and Guba Regional Centers of the Central Bank and the Sumgait City Office will be terminated by the end of this year within the framework of business optimization processes.

 

This decision is related to the development of regional cash logistics infrastructure of the banks operating in the country, meeting the demand for cash in the respective regions through this infrastructure and improving the efficiency of business processes.

 

Thus, Yevlakh Reserve Center of the Central Bank will provide services to banks and national postal operator serviced by Ganja Regional Center, and banks and national postal operator serviced by Guba Regional Center and Sumgayit City Office will be directed to the administrative offices of the Central Bank located at 90 Rashid Behbudov St. and 10 Aliyar Aliyev St., Baku.

 

As a result of the optimization measures, citizens can exchange unfit national currencies, exchange old national currencies for new ones, submit currencies for expert examination, and buy and sell commemorative coins at the following addresses of the Central Bank or commercial banks operating in the country.
