Central Bank becomes member of Council of Central (National) Banks of OTS

6 November 2024, Baku: In the framework of the Eleventh Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum on the establishment of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the Member Countries of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, with the participation of Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Memorandum signed by the Governors of the Central Banks of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Türkiye and Uzbekistan will contribute to the strengthening of cooperative relations between the banks.

 

As an advisory and consultative body, the Council's main task is joint consultations and research in monetary policy, financial stability, payment systems development, financial technologies and other areas of mutual interest.

 

The Council will work to enhance regional economic stability, strengthen financial stability and promote knowledge sharing among member countries.
