Central Bank releases ‘Monetary Policy Review’ with updated content

3 December 2024, Baku: As is known, the Central Bank quarterly develops and publishes on its official website the ‘Monetary Policy Review’. With which, the Central Bank provides a broad audience with analyses of the current macroeconomic situation, the role, and effects of the monetary policy. The review’s target audience includes the broad public, academic circles, media, independent experts, journalists, students, and other stakeholders. Related international practices are continuously studied, and improvements are made to the structure and content of the review.
Starting from the last reporting period of 2024, several updates have been introduced to the structure and content of the ‘Monetary Policy Review’ in line with advanced best practices. The updates primarily include the addition of a macroeconomic forecasts section and a more detailed analysis of monetary developments. The review now features the Central Bank’s latest forecasts for inflation and economic growth. Additionally, the analysis of monetary conditions has been expanded compared to the previous review, and new sections on the money, deposit and credit markets have been added. The money market section includes the dynamics of money market’s interest rates and activity indicators.
The Central Bank will continue efforts to further improve the ‘Monetary Policy Review’.
