Central Bank holds expert discussion on virtual assets

December 23, 2024: The Central Bank held an event titled "Virtual Assets and Market Needs: Expert Discussion" with the participation of experts on regulating the activities of virtual assets and providers of this service.

 

Discussions focused on building a regulatory and supervisory framework for virtual assets, virtual asset markets, and the Central Bank's regulatory approach in this area. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the experience of Kazakhstan and Türkiye in regulating virtual assets.

 

During the discussions, various proposals were put forward on the challenges, risks, and potential opportunities in the virtual asset market, as well as the integration of these assets into the financial sector.

 

The event featured interactive discussions among the participating experts. Questions from the audience were answered as well.
