Macroeconomic Sustainability Working Group held its next meeting

Baku, January 27, 2025: In order to ensure full, timely and effective implementation of the measures envisaged in the "Strategy of social and economic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026" and to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies, the Working Group on Macroeconomic Sustainability, established by the relevant Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, held its next meeting.

At the meeting of the Working Group on Macroeconomic Sustainability, chaired by the Central Bank, detailed information was presented on the monitoring and evaluation of the results for the year 2024 of 15 measures approved within the framework of the 3 action programs of the goal "Resilience to domestic and external shocks". In addition, the next steps to further improve the effectiveness of the activities implemented were identified during in-depth discussions with the members of the Working Group and relevant Central Bank staff.

First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Working Group Aliyar Mammadyarov reported on the initiatives implemented by the Central Bank in accordance with the strategy. Then the information on the work carried out during the year and the challenges was presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Ayaz Museyibov.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Justice, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the State Oil Fund, the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, the Deposit Insurance Fund, and the Agricultural Insurance Fund.
