Central Bank Governor meets delegation from the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of Financial Market

8 April 2025, Baku: The delegation led by Madina Abylkassymova, Chair of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of Financial Market visited Azerbaijan.

Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank, received the delegation during the visit.

The Kazakh delegation was briefed on the strategic initiatives underway by the Central Bank as part of the ‘2024-2026 Financial Sector Development Strategy’ during the meeting.

The Chair of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of Financial Market detailed the meeting participants about safeguarding financial stability, approaches to banking and insurance supervision and the Kazakhstan’s experience in regulating financial markets followed by the presentation on the digitalization projects underway in Kazakhstan and related efforts.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on opportunities for expanding cooperation between the institutions, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
