Azerbaijan’s Central Bank receives delegation from Swiss National Bank

9 July 2025, Baku: A delegation led by Martin Schlegel, Chairman of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), has begun its first working visit to Azerbaijan.

As part of the visit, the SNB delegation met with Governor of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov.

During the meeting, parties engaged in a wide-ranging discussion on the developments in the global economy and financial markets, priorities for monetary policy and financial stability in the medium term, as well as digital initiatives aimed at the development of the financial sector.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

The meeting continued with a discussion of issues of mutual interest, including ways to expand cooperation between the two institutions.
