Central Bank held training sessions on Financial Technologies and Digital Transformation

9 October 2025, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its initiatives to increase digital financial literacy at higher education institutions.

 

For this purpose, training sessions on Financial Technologies and Digital Transformation were held for students from Baku State University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan Technical University.

 

The four-day training covered key topics such as the concepts of Open Banking and Distributed Know Your Customer, virtual assets, payment systems and innovations, digital fraud and cybersecurity, data management and the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence in data analysis processes. Participants also became familiar with the Central Bank's electronic educational resources such as edu.e-cbar.az, bizimpullar.az and infobank.az.

 

During the sessions led by Central Bank representatives, participants received theoretical knowledge, practical recommendations, and extensive information on the future development of financial technologies and global financial trends.

 

At the conclusion of the training, participants gave presentations on generalized tasks, applying the knowledge they had acquired. Students who successfully completed the training received certificates.
