Central Bank’s senior management met with Patriotic War veterans to mark the 5th anniversary of V-day

7 November 2025, Baku: The senior management of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with employees who participated in the Patriotic War to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Victory Day.

 

The event began with a moment of silence in honor of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, followed by the performance of the State Anthem.

 

Speaking at the event, Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank, emphasized that the historic victory achieved under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, through the unwavering unity of the Azerbaijani people and the unparalleled bravery of the Armed Forces, opened a new and proud chapter in the nation’s history.

 

Mr. Kazimov noted that the 44-day Patriotic War was a vivid demonstration of the Azerbaijani people’s national solidarity, their unwavering loyalty to the state and the Commander-in-Chief, as well as the high morale and professionalism of the national army. He added that this victory stands not only as a testament to Azerbaijan’s military strength but also as a symbol of the people’s moral resolve and unity.

 

On behalf of the Central Bank, the Governor extended his heartfelt congratulations to employees who took part in the Patriotic War on the occasion of Victory Day and the upcoming State Flag Day, expressing deep gratitude for their service and dedication to protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. He also honored the memory of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery and well-being to the veterans.

 

During the meeting, participants shared their reflections on the historic victory and expressed their pride in serving the homeland.
