Central Bank releases ‘Statement on main directions of the monetary policy for 2026’

25 December 2025, Baku: The Central Bank has released the ‘Statement on main directions of the monetary policy for 2026.’ The document has been published on Central Bank’s official website and in the ‘Azerbaijan’ newspaper.

According to the Statement, the primary objective of the Central Bank’s monetary policy in 2026 will be to keep inflation within the target band (4±2%). Monetary policy decisions will be guided by macroeconomic forecasts, the focus being on supply- and demand-side inflation risks. Reforms will continue to elevate the impact potential of the monetary policy on inflation.
