Central Bank continues its outreach initiatives with media representatives

23 April 2026, Baku: The Central Bank continues its initiatives aimed at increasing media representatives' knowledge and awareness of topical issues on the agenda of central banking and the financial sector.
In this context, the Central Bank organized a training session titled “Open Banking: Key Concepts” for media representatives. Approximately 20 media representatives participated in the training. During the session, participants received detailed information on Open Banking, its role in the financial sector, and its impact on the development of innovative financial services.
Participants were given a presentation on how the Open Banking approach is applied in the country, the transition to an open financial model, the regulatory framework in this area, and international experience. Discussions were held during the event, and questions of interest to the media representatives were answered.
The Open Banking concept promotes competition and innovation in the financial sector and creates conditions for developing more flexible, accessible, and customer-oriented services. This approach also increases transparency and efficiency in financial services.
The Central Bank considers increasing financial literacy and public awareness to be one of its priorities and continues outreach initiatives in this area.
