Central Bank organizes anti-counterfeiting workshops

12 April 2019, Baku:  The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan approved 2019 Training Program to boost the level of cash related services by credit institutions to individuals and legal entities and build capacity of concerned staff of credit institutions.

 

As part of the approved Training Program the Central Bank conducted total 15 trainings for about 200 representatives of credit institutions in the capital and regions, including Ganja and Nakhchivan over the first quarter.

 

The Central Bank employees conducted workshops on anti-counterfeiting, the design and security elements of the national currency, money expertise in the banking system aided by extended topic-related discussions.

 

The trainings had an effective influence on increase of knowledge of cash staff of credit institutions on security elements of the national currency and maintenance of initial expertise of money during cash related appeals.

 

Such trainings are an effective tool in anti-counterfeiting. The level of counterfeiting of our currency is much lower compared to the international level due to concerted actions by the Central Bank, credit institutions and law-enforcement authorities.

 

The Central Bank will conduct similar trainings both in the capital and in regions in upcoming quarters as part of the Training Program.
