CBA Governor visits Jojug Marjanly

24 December 2018, Baku: Elman Rustamov, Governor of the Central Bank paid a visit to the village of Jojug Marjanly. Having first visited the monument to Martyrs of the 2016 April battles in the village he later met with the teachers and pupils of the secondary school of the village of Jojug Marjanly of the Jabrail district named after Novruz Aslanov, wrote a heartfelt note to the school’s memorial book and donated technical equipment and books on behalf of the Central Bank.
Governor Rustamov also visited the community park, the summer cinema and the leisure cafe, as well as the village mosque similar to the Shusha mosque built in Jojug Marjanly at the assignment of President Ilham Aliyev.
Making a speech at the meeting with the village citizens in the community center E.Rustamov told that, the strategic Lala Tepe height, allowing to keep under control a vast territory in the direction of the Jabrayil and Fizuli districts, was liberated from the enemy as a result of the counter attack of our National Army in response to the provocation of the Armenian armed forces from the night of 1 to 2 April, 2016 and the area of the village entirely fell under control of the Azerbaijani Army. Consequently, to enable civilians residing there historically to return to their homeland, the county started complete restoration efforts in the territories that are under control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Speaking about decrees of Mr President with respect to restoration of the village of Jojug Marjanly fully destroyed as a result of occupation E.Rustamov underlined that the country Leadership always attaches great importance to eliminating the damage to the village and ensuring well-being of the people in the territories freed from occupation and noted the works done in the village. His speech was followed by discussions on wishes and problem of the villagers.
To note, in March and December, 2018, at the CBA support the people of Jojug Marjanly and the Charity Fund were presented holiday gifts, a vehicle, home appliances and computer equipment. The Bank will keep supporting Jojug Marjanly later on.
