Central Bank continues Patriotic War related support measures

21 December 2020, Baku:  Under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our victorious army liberated the lands, which had been under occupation for almost 30 years, and historical justice was restored. A new history was written in the Patriotic War. Today, the heart of every Azerbaijani beats with pride for this glorious historical event, our national unity strengthens, and we are confident that our country will develop further.

Today, our state pays great attention and care to the families of our soldiers killed in the Patriotic War, our veterans and servicemen with deep respect and esteem. The Central Bank also joins this national solidarity and supports these efforts.

The Central Bank transferred funds to the Azerbaijani Army Assistance Fund to support our army fighting for the freedom of our occupied lands and the integrity of the homeland, and the employees of the Central Bank also voluntarily participated in this charity event.

In addition, construction of tombstones of 30 martyrs from the Bilasuvar region was funded. At the same time, financial assistance was provided to the families of 27 martyrs from the Jabrayil region, as well as 5 servicemen who were wounded in the Patriotic War. One soldier seriously wounded in the fighting is planned to be treated in a foreign country.
