Central Bank organizes financial literacy workshops for residents of ‘Winners' Camp’ – children of martyrs

13 July 2021, Baku: The ‘For Azerbaijan’ charity organization and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized financial literacy workshop at the Central Bank for the residents of the ‘Winners’ Camp’ – children of martyrs. The Bank held workshops on budget, savings, debt, wasting money, insurance, digital payments, national banknotes, and electronic resources of the Central Bank on financial literacy were presented to the participants.

The children also were acquainted with sorting of banknotes in the Processing Division No.1 of the Treasury Department of the Central Bank.

The goal of the event was to prepare children to make proper personal financial decisions, give important messages about the importance of digital payments, insurance, encourage children to save by showing harms of wasting money, as well as provide information on security elements of national banknotes.

Participants shared their views on the topic, followed by a Q&A session.
