The Central Bank held a regular training for media representatives

30 November 2021, Baku: Issues of proper communication to the public of information about the main challenges, messages, goals and works done in the direction arising from the "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" proclaimed by President Ilham Aliyev, strengthening professional cooperation with media institutions as one of the important target groups in this regard, increasing the knowledge of journalists in the field of economic and financial, as well as financial markets are always in the center of attention of the Central Bank.

 

Close cooperation with the media as a means of conveying the mission, works to increase their financial literacy serve to ensure a clear public understanding of the policies and activities of the Central Bank, as well as the correct transmission of political messages to the public, broad coverage of banking and financial activities in the media and the formation of correct economic expectations among the population. For this purpose, the Central Bank traditionally organizes trainings for media representatives on the topics "Open Doors", "Central Banking" and "Increasing the level of knowledge and skills in the financial and banking system".

 

In the course of this process, as one of the measures envisaged in response to the tasks arising from the recently adopted "Communication Strategy of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2023", on 30 November 2021, the Central Bnak held the training for media representatives on the topic "Insurance as a component of financial literacy".

 

The training, conducted jointly with the Compulsory Insurance Bureau and the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan, will help to expand the knowledge of journalists in this area, as well as increase the effectiveness of their programs and stories about insurance education and conduct the awareness-raising, promotional and preventive measures in the field of insurance.

 

The participants were provided with detailed information about the need for insurance relations, the benefits of insurance, especially compulsory insurance to prevent risks, as well as the level of development of risk culture in Azerbaijan.

 

In addition, the issues of raising the financial awareness of journalists in the financial markets, especially insurance relations, as well as the expected results in this area were discussed.

 

During the training, detailed answers were given to journalists' questions, and at the end of the event, the participants were awarded certificates.
