Students of Agaly village secondary school, Zangilan district involved to financial literacy events as part of Global Money Week

4 April 2023, Baku: As part of events planned for the GMW2023 54 students of the secondary school of the Agaly village, the Zangilan district were involved to financial literacy events, they participated in the ‘Kids and money’ course placed on the Virtual Education Platform for students of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan (https://edu.e-cbar.az/course/preview.php?id=125).

Students obtained detailed information on history of money and national currency of the Republic of Azerbaijan through the virtual course, and got answers to many questions, like how to manage, effectively spend and protect money, insurance, digital payments and other financial literacy components.

On 28 March 2023, a face-to-face meeting was held with teachers, students of the Agalı village secondary school to evaluate the knowledge they acquired on the course and provide them with additional financial literacy resources, questions of students on the course were answered, and they were detailed about other intellectual resources of the Central Bank.

The Central Bank continues efforts to involve all population groups, including higher, secondary and vocational students and high school students in seminars and courses to raise financial literacy in regions.
