National currencies issued by the Central Bank will be exhibited at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan

25 June 2023, Baku: Banknotes, metal coins, including commemorative coins and bullion coins issued to circulation by the Central Bank were first presented to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan for display in the new exposition of the Museum.
In the collection presented to the Museum, a special place is occupied by a series of commemorative coins dedicated to the loving memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, wise leader and genius personality. Also, for the first time in the history of our country, bullion coins made on the basis of Azerbaijani gold, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, will be exhibited at the Museum.
The 500 manat denominated banknote and "Victory" commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank in perpetuating the history of the Great Victory achieved in the 44-day war under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as the most glorious page in the history of Azerbaijan, will be among the valuable exhibits.
Among the presented currencies there are also precious metal coins dedicated to outstanding personalities, important historical events, art and culture of our country.
The Museum informed that the newly created exposition will soon be available to visitors.
