Central Bank publishes results of the Credit Conditions Survey

11 September 2023, Baku: The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced the results of banks’ credit activity survey for Quarter 2, 2023. The survey includes assessment of supply and demand factors for business, consumer and mortgage lending, as well as identification and assessment of banks’ risks.

According to the survey results, in Q2 2023 the easing of banks’ credit policies and increase in demand for loans continued. The easing of credit standards was most evident in business and consumer loans. Banks stated that they expect the easing of credit policy to continue in the third quarter of 2023 and the demand for loans to increase. Changes in the credit policy are constantly monitored by the Central Bank and the appropriate prudential policy is determined.
