Central Bank holds information session for media

14 September 2026, Baku: The Central Bank continues initiatives for media representatives focused on awareness of current topics on the central banking and financial sector agenda.
Another session, titled ‘Non-Bank Credit Institutions: Regulation and Current State,’ was held in Shamakhi.
Participants learned about the role of NBCIs in the financial system, the rules governing their operations and the framework for supervision. The session also examined recent changes in the NBCI market, its current development trends and efforts to improve the regulatory framework.
The Central Bank also discussed key issues related to measures aimed at promoting responsible lending, protecting consumer rights and expanding access to financial services.
The session included an open discussion in which Central Bank representatives answered questions from journalists.
The Central Bank will continue holding information and educational sessions for media representatives on issues affecting the financial sector, citing the media’s important role in increasing public understanding of financial matters.
